A major Kashmir conference of the Islamic world was held in Istanbul, Turkey’s capital, which was attended by members of parliament, journalists, intellectuals and civil society from various Islamic countries.

A major Kashmir conference of the Islamic world was held in Istanbul, Turkey’s capital, which was attended by members of parliament, journalists, intellectuals and civil society from various Islamic countries. The conference was organized by Tehreek Kashmir UK against Kashmiris in Turkey and Turkish Civil Society. The event was held to condemn Indian atrocities and reiterate support for the oppressed Kashmiris residing in occupied Kashmir. The chief guest of the event was Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Speaker Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, while Dr. Younis Junaid, Ambassador of Pakistan to Turkey, was associated with the ruling Jamaat Aq Party. Retaining Turkish Member of Parliament Tobi Ishik Irjan, Yini Rafah Party Member of Parliament and Party Deputy Chairman Dawan Bekan, Saadat Party Member of Parliament And Deputy Chairman Mustafa Kaya and Member of Parliament from Kuwait were also present in the conference. International speakers of the conference are from Kuwait. Human rights lawyers Majibal MM Al-Rashidi and Dalia-ul-Ajmi were also present. Speaker Azad Jammu and Kashmir Assembly Chaudhry Latif Akbar, Former Member Azad Jammu & Kashmir Assembly Abdul Rashid Turabi and Leaders of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Altaf Ahmad Butt and Mehmood Ahmad Sagar were present. Addressed by senior Kashmiri leader Dr. Mubeen and head of Tehreek Kashmir UK. Ahsan Shafiq, the head of the organizing committee of the event, thanked the speakers and participants who came to Istanbul specifically to support Kashmiri brothers from different parts of the world. Speakers reiterated demand from the world for concrete action against Indian barbarism. Finally tehreek kashmir UK president Faheem kiani read the resolution which was unanimously passed. The resolution condemned Indian atrocities and its cancellation of Article 370 and 35A And called for full action against India from the global community and institutions like the United Nations. Guests were presented with commemorative shields at the end of the ceremony.
